Best for long term aging-in-place, custom bathrooms give you the freedom and flexibility to create the best possible space to serve your accessibility and safety needs. Custom bathrooms are only limited by the rooflines of the home and your flexibility with reconfiguring spaces. A custom bathroom does not necessarily mean unaffordable. We have experience creating custom showers on shoestring budgets. And we will always help you with other considerations like future needs and resell value down the road.
Barrier-Free
(Roll-in) Entry
A barrier-free or roll-in shower entry is one of the most recommended features for long term aging-in-place. Even if a step is not a problem today, could it be in the future? Water will properly drain just like it should with out a step. If there is a concern, a collapsible water dam can be added if necessary.
Pony Shower Walls
Pony walls are the half-walls with glass above. This is a recommended feature over a full glass wall or full tile wall. The glass lets light into the shower for better visibility, while the lower wall below provides a safe surface to mount a grab bar. It is recommended for pony walls to be built at least 42" high so grab bars can be mounted at the ADA-recommended height.
Handheld Shower Heads, Grab Bars, and Niches
An accessible shower should always include a handheld shower head mounted low for access from a seated position. Grab bars should be positioned for the safest position, not necessarily where the studs are. (Trust us on this one.) And an in-the-wall niche or shelf is desirable feature.
Custom Tile of YOUR Choice
There are endless solutions for a custom bathroom. It could be large tiles, subway tiles, wall-size porcelain panels, or a combination. The sky is the limit when it comes to tile selection. Shower floor tile should be smaller for providing the proper slope so water can drain properly.
Custom Cabinetry
Upgrading your bathroom is a great opportunity to upgrade your cabinetry. From painted cabinets or pre-fabricated affordable cabinets, the choices are endless. Quick Installation 1-2 days

Day 1 consists of demolition of existing tub and wall surrounds and plumbing reconfiguration. Day 2 is installation of shower floor and walls. Sometimes this can be done all in 1 day.

Durability with a 30-Year Warranty
BestBath offers a best-in-class 30-year warranty against manufacturer's defects. The shower walls come with a plywood backing so they are very sturdy to the touch. Because the panels are fiberglass with a gel coat finish, they are easy to clean.
ADA Compliant and Made for Safety
BestBath shower floors are slip resistant with a dimpled texture as standard. The walls are reinforced with solid plywood so ADA safety features like grab bars or shower seats can be installed safely directly into the shower walls without the need of additional studs.
