Regain Your Independence With Safe, Custom Entry Solutions
From rapid-install modular aluminum or wood ramps to space-saving Vertical Platform Lifts (VPL), we provide the perfect fit for your home and mobility needs.

Custom Ramp Solutions
Architectural Access Solutions
Tailored to your landscape and lifestyle.
Designed for homeowners with ample yard space who prefer a gradual, non-mechanical entry. We offer both modular aluminum and custom wood builds that adhere to safe incline standards. Best for overcoming lower rises (under 24 inches) where a smooth, continuous path of travel is desired.

Vertical Platform Lifts (VPLs)
Space-Saving "Porch Lifts"
High-rise access with a compact footprint.
The ultimate solution for high porches, tight entryways, or steep elevations where a ramp would be too long or unsightly. Our VPLs provide a safe, motorized lift in a fraction of the space. Best for rises over 30 inches or homes where preserving yard space and curb appeal is a priority.
Why LiveWell? Our Home Access Expertise
Certified Access Professionals
Safe Incline Engineering
We don’t just "build a ramp." We engineer for safety. Every project is measured to meet ADA-inspired 1:12 slope standards, ensuring your ramp is never too steep for independent manual or power chair use.
Expert Site Evaluation
We evaluate your specific terrain, from sidewalk slope to porch height. We identify the exact "pivot points" needed for wheelchair turns, ensuring your ramp or VPL integrates perfectly with your driveway and entry.
The All-Weather Edge
Our aluminum systems feature a permanent, non-slip surface for safe movement. When choosing wood, our surfaces can be treated with non-slip grip surface. Our vertical platform lifts are designed to be outdoors and can handle various weather conditions.
Rapid Response Installation
We understand the urgency of hospital discharges. Our internal crews specialize in fast-track installations, often getting your modular ramp or VPL in place within 24–48 hours of approval. No waiting on outside contractors.
Clean and Respectful
Whether installing a VPL in a tight garage or a ramp in your front yard, we minimize disruption. Our modular systems require no digging or concrete pouring, keeping your landscaping intact and your neighbors happy.

Other Specializations in Accessibility
LiveWell has a full construction team, so you are not limited to just the ramp
Garage Access Systems
Many homeowners prefer to enter through the garage. We can install compact Vertical Platform Lifts or custom-fitted modular ramps inside your garage, protecting you from the elements while providing a level entry into the home.
Pathway & Sidewalk Leveling
A safe ramp is only useful if the path leading to it is stable. LiveWell can address uneven walkways and construct concrete ramps or surfaces that are more permanent in nature to ensure a smooth, trip-free journey from your vehicle all the way to your door.
Portable & Threshold Ramps
Independence doesn't stop at your front door. For steps and obstacles under 6 inches, we offer a range of lightweight, folding aluminum ramps and various rubber ramps for transversing the pesky thresholds throughout your home. Designing for a low step can sometimes be just as challenging as longer ramp systems.

Custom Ramp Solutions
Helping you maintain independence doesn’t mean sacrificing your home’s curb appeal. We offer a variety of entry solutions designed to fit your specific mobility needs, budget, and architectural style. Whether you need a temporary fix or a permanent architectural upgrade, our team ensures every inch is ADA-compliant and rock-solid.

Modular Aluminum Ramp
Benefit: Durability and Speed
Aluminum is the "gold standard" for long-term accessibility. These ramps are maintenance-free, rust-proof, and feature a non-slip surface. Because they are modular, they can be installed in hours—not days—and can be reconfigured or removed if your needs change. Also great for commercial applications.
Pro Tip:

Custom Wood Ramps
Benefit: Aesthetic & Integration
For a permanent look that blends seamlessly with your home’s existing deck or siding, custom wood is the way to go. We use pressure-treated lumber that or cedar can be stained or painted to match your home’s exterior. Custom Wood ramps can built to fit almost anywhere.

Turns for Long Ramps
Benefit: Condensed Footprint
For ADA-ramps that require long runs to bridge the height gap, making turns or switchbacks can help reduce the overall footprint of the ramp so it can fit on smaller lots. Turns should be designed to be wider to accommodate wheelchairs navigating around corners.

Threshold and Entry Ramps
Benefit: The "Small" Difference
Even a 1-inch lip at a front door or a sliding glass patio door can be a mountain for a wheelchair or walker. We install low-profile rubber or aluminum threshold ramps to create a flush, "trip-free" transition. These are often the most affordable and immediate safety upgrades you can make for interior-to-exterior transitions.

Hardscapes and Integrated
Benefit: Ultimate Curb Appeal
For homeowners looking for a "discreet" solution, we can design ramps using pavers or poured concrete that are integrated into your professional landscaping. When combined with tiered flower beds, a hardscape ramp can actually increase your home's resale value while providing 100% barrier-free access.
Vertical Platform Lifts (VPLs)
Vertical Platform Lifts, often called porch lifts, provide the freedom and flexibility to access your home without the massive footprint of a traditional ramp. These professional-grade lifts are an elegant solution for high porches and tight spaces where a ramp just won't fit. Whether you need a simple lift for a few steps or a full-height solution for a second-story deck, our team ensures your installation is seamless, safe, and ADA-compliant.

Architectural Integration
Benefit: Space-Saving Elegance
A VPL provides vertical access in a fraction of the space required for a ramp. While a 36-inch rise requires 36 feet of ramp to meet ADA standards, a VPL fits into a compact 5' x 5' footprint. We can install these lifts directly against existing porches or decks, often using matching wood or composite materials to make the lift look like a natural part of your home’s architecture.

Smooth & Quiet Operation
Benefit: Reliable, Effortless Access
Modern VPLs utilize advanced hydraulic or screw-drive systems that provide a smooth, "no-jerk" start and stop. They are designed to be whisper-quiet, ensuring you can enter or exit your home at any hour without disturbing the neighbors. Look for models with battery backup systems; this ensures that even during a power outage, your lift remains fully operational so you are never stranded.

Safety First Features
Benefit: Total Peace of Mind
Every lift we install is equipped with a suite of safety sensors. These automatically stop the lift if an obstruction—like a pet or a piece of debris—is detected underneath the platform. Our installations include high-sided safety panels and "constant-pressure" controls, meaning the lift only moves when you want it to, giving the user total control at all times.

Weatherproof Durability
Benefit: All-Season Reliability
Designed specifically for the outdoors, these lifts feature marine-grade finishes and weather-protected electronics. They are built to withstand everything from freezing winters and heavy snow to blistering summer heat without rusting or failing. Non-slip platforms and melting-strip compatibility mean your path to the door remains clear and grippy even in the middle of a snowstorm.

Professional Installation
Benefit: Safety & Compliance
A VPL is a complex piece of machinery that requires precision leveling and electrical work. Our factory-trained team handles every aspect, from the poured concrete pad to the final safety inspection. Because we are experts in aging-in-place, we don't just "bolt it down." We evaluate your specific mobility device to ensure the gate widths and turning radiuses are perfect for your wheelchair or power scooter.

To ensure a safe and manageable incline, the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) recommends a 1:12 slope ratio for residential ramps. This means for every 1 inch of vertical "rise," you need 1 foot of ramp "run."

How to Measure in 3 Steps:
-
Measure the Total Rise: Find the vertical distance from the ground to the top of the highest step or threshold.
-
Apply the 1:12 Formula: If your total rise is 24 inches, you will need a 24-foot ramp to meet safety standards.
-
Factor in Landings: For every 30 feet of ramp, or whenever a turn is required, a 5' x 5' resting landing must be added to the design.
The 1:12 Rule: Calculating Your Ramp Length
So...If you have a 36" high porch, then you will need a 36 foot long ramp. Consider the space this requires.
Investment & Budgetary Ranges

Every home is unique, but most of our Texas clients find their ideal solution within these three investment tiers.
